Editorial Standards
Civic Forecast editorial standards exist to keep civic education accurate, transparent, and useful. They apply to every hub, card, and explainer we publish.
Accuracy
We build on primary public records and verify figures against their original source before publishing. When a number changes at the source, the card reflects the update.
Transparency
Every data card attributes its source and links back to it. We distinguish structured data from narrative context so readers always know what is a record and what is interpretation.
Nonpartisan framing
We do not endorse candidates or parties. Explainers describe what records show and the range of mainstream interpretations without advocating a position.
Corrections
When we get something wrong, we fix it and note the change. Accuracy issues can be reported through the contact page.
