Civic Forecast relies on public APIs and open government data. This page describes our fair-use and attribution approach.

Attribution

Each dataset is attributed to its originating agency or provider, with a link to the source and, where applicable, the dataset or filing identifier.

Fair use & rate limits

We access public APIs within their published rate limits and terms of service, cache responsibly, and avoid redistributing bulk datasets in ways that conflict with provider terms.

Metadata

Where a source provides retrieval timestamps, version, or methodology metadata, we preserve it so readers can assess freshness and provenance.

Removal requests

Data providers may request changes to how their source is represented through the contact page.
